My Wishlist

with all the gifts i received from friends and colleagues of mommy and daddy, the following are items that tops my wish-to-haves. =) so, if you are thinking of buying something for me, do consult this list.

1. crib/playpen-in-one - i do prefer a brightly-colored one, made from hard, durable plastic and wooven fabric.

update: no need for this one. mommy bought me a Graco crib/playpen from baby shop. it's of an orange/black color. yep, she does not prefer it either but she's left with no choice as the shop ran out of stock of other colors. anyhow, it plays some lullabye, vibrates, has light and comes with an attachable changing mat as well.

2. feeding bottles - i would prefer 9-ounce ones, Avent (haha!), Pigeon or Dr. Brown brands. however, i would love feeding bottles with cute designs, too!

update: mommy bought me a complete set of avent bottles and nipples. the verdict, i don't like it. haha. the nipple's too big and kinda different. parang nasasalaksak ang bibig ko. ngahaha. anyhow, i heard mommy's keeping it for the meantime until i grow a little bit older. but if i don't adjust to it, she might sell it to other mommies. si mommy pa, papayag ba yun masayang ang money nya. =) i now remain a Pigeon baby. bow.

3. baby monitor - any brand will do, as long as it can deliver clear sound so mommy can hear me well when she's in the kitchen or busy watching tv in the living room.

4. playmat - something i could use so playtime will be more enjoyable! a playmate will always be welcome.

5. baby einstein toys - some educational toys/multi-media to keep me pre-occupied and busy learning/discovering new things.

6. some consumables - like diaper (simple lang ako, i use the Lido brand), wipes (i prefer huggies, pero kuntento na rin ako sa Lulu, hihi), and milk (right now, mommy feeds me with breastmilk and S26 at the same time)... guess what, i consume at least one of each pack a week!

7. clothes - if for some reason, you want to give me clothes, choose the 1 year and up size huh! =) i had enough until i become a year older na kasi. many were given by mommy's friends and officemates of her and dad. thank you tita's and tito's!!! (*big contagious smile*)

Mafraq Hospital

we woke up early today since i have a schedule to see a pediatrician/endocrinologist at the Mafraq Hospital. my daddy went with us kaya i am such a good boy, sleeping most of the time during our travel. at the hospital, i was examined again thoroughly including my "putuytoy". the pediatrician said that its size was fine but to be on the safer side she ordered some blood tests to double-check. with that, blood samples has to be taken from me which was a lot actually. my mommy was so proud of me kasi ang brave ko daw. i saw her squirming and perspiring at the background as if wanting to snatch me back from the nurse.

at first, i didn't mind the pain of the needles eh. however, in the long run i noticed that the amount of blood she's taking were kinda more than i expected and the nurse was keeping my hand still for so long already. i hate being still for long, you know. gusto ko lagi kong nakukumpas mga kamay ko, which mommy said i got from her genes also. kamay daw ng piyanista yun. ewan ko ba sa nanay ko. hihi.

Disappointed

the three of us (me, mommy and tita mirla) went back to the hospital for my jaundice check-up. based from this visit, i now weigh 3.100 kg and my jaundice has gone done to a value of 208. despite the improvement, the pediatrician asked us to come back after a week, hopefully for a final check-up. we all went home disappointed. mommy will surely place me again in the sunlight in the coming days.

I Wanna Go Home!!!

after three long endless days of blood tests and phototheraphy, we were again sent home today as my jaundiced condition has improved. i have been cooperating a lot with my mommy with the feeding and the light-bathing so we could both go home and watch Wowowee. my mommy vowed to exposed me to the natural sunlight from now on. with this, i surely will be getting a lot of toasting starting tomorrow. oh well, our balcony will be so much better than staying in the hospital kaya sige na nga, bilad na kung bilad!! =)

tonight, i was visited by mommy's choirmates, there were lots of tita's and tito's and i'll try to name as much as i can huh: tita fely, tita shirley (she visited me also last night), tita arlene, tita mimi, tito ruel, tito bong, tito danny & tito diego. if i missed anyone, sorry!! i'm not so good with remembering names pa eh, but i'm sure i'll meet you tita/tito again sometime when mommy brings me to the church.

Back to the Hospital =(

me, my mommy and tita mirla went back to the hospital today for my jaundice check-up. the nurses took my body wieght (which went down to 2.985kg) and some blood samples which later suggested that my jaundiced condition sky-rocketted to a value of 311.

i really hate the weighing part as you can see below. ewan ko ba, i don't like being naked with or without people around. kaya nga, cry ako to the max to get the message across eh. however, it looks like mommy has no choice. good thing, she dressed me up as soon as possible so i'll stop crying. as for the blood sample-taking session for liver function test, they asked my mommy to leave me with them. they must have sensed that my mommy will be so bothered with the amount of blood that they will take from me. of course, i cried my heart out as well.

from the clinic downstairs, they took me and mommy back to our previous room in the ward. immediately, the nurses asked my mommy to undress me and instructed her to put me inside this capsule-like phototheraphy chamber. as usual, i have to put on my sunvisor again. aarrghhh.... i hate this phototheraphy!!!

Kanino Pa Magmamana???

my daddy is so kabado when mommy's holding me. he didn't know that i can already lift my head eventhough i am just a few days old. eh smart kaya ako. ;p

this is one of the pictures that my mommy took to prove how advanced i am na. aside from lifting my head, i can also sleep on my sides already which is my favorite sleeping position. my mommy is also amazed that i can giggle, cup her breast while she feeds me, snore when sleeping and peek with one eye if i wanted to. =) she thinks i got the cute giggling part from her, the cupping and peeking from my dad, and the snoring from my granny. hmm... sa dami naman ng mamamana... tsk..tsk...

We're Going Home!!!

despite being puyat, my blood tests results turned out okay today. they told us that me and mommy can go home today. hay. i will finally see our house and be with my daddy for a longer time from now on.

my daddy and tita mirla came to pick us up after lunch. today's my first time to ride a taxi and take a lift. i will be sleeping in between my mommy and daddy tonight. isn't it neat??!!! sana nga lang, nde nila ako madaganan during the night. =)

Naughty Boy

i have been getting my yummy milk from my mommy. i wanted mommy to know how i find it delicious, that's why i create a sound when i'm sipping each drop. =) yun nga lang, mommy sometimes yell at me when i bite her nipples. nake-carried away kasi ako sa paglasap ng milk. hihi.

my visitors for this day were my mommy's friend, tita ellen, and mommy's uncle, tito tony. when they went home, i became really restless that mommy suspects that i must have been "nausog" by one of them. i have always been the sleepy-type but not today. i have been crying and napping (short naps) alternately until 5 AM. mommy almost lose her patience on me. i settled only when i saw my mommy crying also. perhaps she's feeling so helpless and tired already. she said i should settle na, as the evil nurse will hurt us if i don't. we both hate the nurse on-duty tonight because that nurse picks me up like i am like a rug doll of some sort and she squeezed my mommy's breast like it was of the cow's. naiyak ang mommy ko kaya naging mabait na talaga ako and we both slept until 7 AM.

Golden Baby

the pediatrician arrived today and i had my first check-up. para siyang naglapirot ng isda sa palengke when he examined me. i did not mind it at all since my mommy was with me. after the physical examination, he said that i might have jaundice that results to my yellowish color. he ordered that blood samples be taken from me. he also suggested that a specialist look into my "putuytoy" as it seems small. =( microphallus daw term on this condition, which is still for an endocrinologists' evaluation.

the nurses came for the blood sample that they took it by pricking my soles. masakit siya but i was able to tolerate it. my mommy said that i'm a brave man. the nurses also installed an artificial lighting over my body and instructed my mom to put me under it. phototheraphy daw yun for the jaundice. mommy was instructed to place this shiled for my eyes, which mommy refers to as "sunvisor". i hate it nga eh, kaya lagi kong inaalis. =) this irritates my mommy though as the nurses kept on checking on us if i am under those lights or not. oh yeah, mommy placed me on her bed instead on the baby cot para masamahan ako. how sweet noh. kaya nga, kahit init na init na ako under those lights, tinitiis ko na rin.

my visitors for the day were mommy's friends, tita jen and her husband tito jasper. hindi nga ako masyadong napagmasdan ni tita jen because i was under the phototheraphy lights. sayang nga, for sure maku-cute-an si tita sa akin. hihi. my mommy said that tita jen will be one of my ninangs.

Hello World!

i am so stressed already with my mommy's insufficient push, buti na lang the midwife was able to convince her to give her best push. =) 8:54 AM and i finally came out from mommy and i had seen the light!!! wow... my first time to see the world and i was greeted by girls already... of different colors pa huh! =) oh yeah, i saw my mom lying on the bed and seemed terribly tired. hindi naman ako disappointed sa performance nya. hihi. i was washed by nurses in the mini-bed/shower equipment and i kicked like crazy! i weighed 3.165 kilos and measures 49 cm, medium built and certified gwaping. =)

my mommy claims i look like her (should i be ecstatic with that??!! joke only mommy!! hihi)as i also have her face shape, nose, dimples and being balbon. however, she said i have my dad's eyes, eyebrows and habits. both of them are unsure where i got my lip's shape though. here are my first photos for evidence:

when my daddy saw me, he was happy and amazed at the same time. yung parang ngayon palang siya nakakita ng mas gwapo sa kanya... hihi.
